I have lived in Humboldt County CA  since May of 2000. When I first moved out here from Michigan I didn’t know what to expect, but soon discovered all the great qualities that make Humboldt CA such a great place to live. It’s the lifestyle that attracts so many to our great community by the sea.

Things are little bit more laid back here in Humboldt CA and that’s what makes us so unique compared to other communities in our Sunshine state.  We're only 5 1/2 hours north of San Francisco Bay, nestled right between the Redwoods and the California Coast, and only 2 to 3 hours drive away from California's wine country. Plus we're developing our own wine industry which produces many decent local Humboldt CA wines. You won’t be stuck on the highway in a traffic jam out here! But you will find a lot of great amenities that you would find down in the big cities.

If you are considering moving to the area you’ll be happy to know that there are plenty of homes available that you should have no problem finding the right home that meets your needs and some, if not all, of your desires. We are by far the most affordable coastal community in California.
