 After graduating from Michigan State University's Biology program, I spent the better part of my 20's working towards a veterinary career, making the move to Humboldt County back in May of 2000 to explore a wildlife career in case my dreams of veterinary medicine didn't pan out.  Well it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the area and soon after I realized that although science and animal medicine were an important part of my life, neither seemed to be the right path for me.

So not too long after moving to Humboldt County, I pulled an "180" and switched to marketing and promotions, gaining not only an academic background in the field at Humboldt State University, but also gaining on the job experience.  And this experience lead to some incredible opportunities.

In 2003 I had an opportunity to produce the KHUM Blend: Volume 1 CD for KHUM radio and soon after established and managed the Promotions Department for KHUM, KSLG and KWPT (The Point).  After being with the KHUM family for 3 years, I made the decision to transition into real estate, a field I had been interested in for 5 years prior.   I already enjoyed meeting new people and helping folks accomplish their goals in past projects, so real estate seemed like a natural fit.

Since the switch, I've attracted many out of area buyers through my effective marketing techniques, sold some challenging unique properties (Historic Red Firehouse, 1000 acres of raw California Coast Land to name a few), and help buyers and sellers, referred to me by past clients, friends and acquaintances in Humboldt County, achieve their real estate goals. 

And I continue to give back to our Humboldt County community; as a board member and volunteer Marketing Director of Women Entrepreneurs Institute, Eureka Chamber Ambassador, and as a Historic Preservation Commissioner for the City of Eureka CA.
